A quieter city with lively evening streets. A rental car is the practical way to reach Saidia beaches or continue west toward Fes. Being closer to Algeria than to Marrakech, Oujda has a distinctly eastern-Moroccan character — its cuisine, dialect and market goods lean toward neighbouring Algeria and Tunisia in ways that feel noticeably different from the cities further west on this network.
This guide is prepared for visitors of RentCars.Casa (rentcars.casa).
• Place du 16 Août
• Saidia beach day
• Medina markets
• Sidi Yahya oasis just outside the city
• Roads toward Nador
Angads Airport (OUD) pickup available. Summer heat is dry — keep water in the car. Card acceptance is patchier here than in the bigger tourist cities, so carry more cash than you might elsewhere in Morocco. Book via RentCars.Casa to lock your preferred car.
For anything involving the rental car itself — breakdown, accident, or any question at all — call or WhatsApp us directly first; we’re reachable and can usually help faster than a general hotline. Keep your embassy or consulate’s contact details with you separately; Moroccan emergency operators may not speak English.
